🎁 QZAP Wishlist

Do you wish there were ways that you could help QZAP to continue to grow and thrive? Consider getting us some stuff from our wishlist and/or making a financial gift. QZAP is NOT a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, or really any type of entity other than a massive labor of love, and we try to get by selling our little zines and buttons and shit. That said, we still need help in both material and financial ways. SO, check the list and see if you can assist us.

STUFF WE CAN USE:

  • 🗄️(NEW/USED) 5x 4-drawer filing cabinets. We’ve outgrown the 2-drawer cabinets that we started QZAP with in 2003, and would like more space to house the growing zine collection. The place within our physical archive space is unique in that it will perfectly house 5 cabinets and allow us to use the top as additional storage, which is why we need to upgrade them all all-at-once. These would have to be available in/around SE Wisconsin.**
  • 🗃️(NEW/USED) Flat file cabinet for blueprints/maps. 5-Drawer 30″ x 42″. We’ve amassed a number of posters and broadside documents over the years, and we’re looking for a better way to store and preserve them.**
  • 🚪(NEW) Husky adjustable height rolling work table. **
  • 📁(USED) Hanging file folders. Is your work or school moving away from paper files? Can you snag a bunch of used hanging folders for us? The kind that are usually dark green or multicolored with the metal hangers, not the manila ones.
  • 📄(NEW) Printer paper. 8.5 x 11″, 8.5 x 14″ and/or 11 x 17″. We often give away zines as freebies and use them for teaching, and having extra paper to assist in that process would be great. Certainly we can use white paper, and also Astrobrites or pastels in a variety of colors would be welcome.
  • 📮(NEW) USPS Stamps! Forever stamps are great (currently 73¢), and we can also always use Non-Machinable (currently $1.19) and International (currently $1.65)

** IF you get us filing cabinets or the table we’ll give you naming rights – pick someone or someones from LGBTQ+ history that you’d like them named after. For example, the server for this blog site is named after Barbra Gittings, and the server for archive.qzap.org is named for Bayard Rustin. You’d get to help us name the new equipment.

  • 🖌️ blick.com – Blick is the closest good art supply store to us, so this would also be useful.
  • 🔘 portlandbuttonworks.com – All of our pin-back buttons are from Portland Button Works which our friend Alex runs. A gift card from here would be amazing!!
